Altice One App on Apple TV

The Altice One App on Apple TV extends your Suddenlink entertainment experience to additional rooms throughout your home. Stream your favorite live TV, watch movies and shows On Demand, and schedule and playback all your Cloud DVR Plus recordings, alongside content from all the other apps you use.

If you are setting up Apple TV for the first time, follow the steps below.

If you have already setup your Apple TV, see “How do I connect my Suddenlink service to my Apple TV?”

Before you begin, a HDMI cable (not included in box) is needed for setup.

  1. Connect one end of a HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your Apple TV, then connect the other end to the HDMI port on your TV
  2. Connect one end of the power cable to the power port on your Apple TV and the other end to a power outlet
  3. Turn on your TV, then select the HDMI input that’s connected to your Apple TV
  4. Press Back on your Siri Remote and the Apple TV setup screen should appear
    • If this does not, press and hold Back and + on your Siri Remote for 5 seconds
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions
    • Make sure to select Altice One as your TV provider

Use the TV Provider feature, Apple’s single sign-on tool, to get instant access to the Altice One App, so you do not need to sign in every time you want to watch.

Set TV Provider

  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of tvOS
  2. When connected to your in-home WiFi network, open Settings on your Apple TV
  3. Go to Users and Accounts then TV Provider
  4. Select Sign In
  5. Select Altice One, then OK to set Altice One as your TV provider
  6. Under Allow TV Provider to Access, change Altice One to On
 

Important: Make sure to select Altice One and not Suddenlink as your TV provider

 

Change TV Provider

  1. When connected to your in-home WiFi network, open Settings on your Apple TV
  2. Go to Users and Accounts then TV Provider
  3. Select Remove TV Provider
  4. Select Sign In
  5. Select Altice One, then OK to set Altice One as your TV provider
  6. Under Allow TV Provider to Access, change Altice One to On
 

Important: Make sure to select Altice One and not Suddenlink as your TV provider


 

If you purchased your Apple TV from Suddenlink, the Altice One App should automatically appear on the Apple TV Home screen when setup is complete.

If you are using your own device or do not see the app on the Home screen, follow the below steps when connected to your home Internet network:

  1. Open the App Store on Apple TV
  2. In the menu bar, go to (Search) and type or say Altice One App
  3. Select Get to download the app
  4. Open the Altice One App and select Altice One as your TV provider

 

You can watch all the networks that are part of your Suddenlink TV package on the Altice One App except for Pay-Per-View.


 

To quickly find the programming you are looking for go to Search from the Altice One App menu and swipe down. You can use the on-screen keyboard or Siri to find what you want to watch within the Altice One App.

To use Siri, hold down on your Siri Remote, say what you want, then release the button.

If you want to search across multiple apps including the Altice One App, you do not need to be within search to use Siri.


 

To limit access to certain content and features on Apple TV, you can use Restrictions, which work like parental controls.

For the Altice One App, you create a Block PIN. This PIN will let you block specific channels, programming based on TV or movie ratings and hide titles of restricted content in the app.

Create a block PIN

A PIN must be created before any blocks can be set up

  1. On your Apple TV, open the Altice One App
  2. Press Back on the Siri Remote
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Parental Controls, then Set PIN
 

Setup a block

  1. On your Apple TV, open the Altice One App
  2. Press Back on the Siri Remote
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Parental Control
 

Reset PIN
If you have forgotten your PIN, please contact a Suddenlink Expert to have the PIN reset. Resetting your PIN will reset the PIN on your Apple TV and Altice One.


 

Yes, you can create a purchase PIN to restrict On Demand purchases.

Create a purchase PIN

  1. On your Apple TV, open Altice One App
  2. Press Back on the Siri Remote
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Parental Controls, then Set PIN
 

Once set, you will be prompted to enter the PIN when you rent a movie in the Altice One App.

The Altice One App will work on 4th and 5th generation Apple TVs running on tvOS 12.0 or later. If you are not sure which Apple TV model you have, go to identifying Apple TV models.

Any unopened Apple TV device can be returned within 14 days of the date of purchase. To be eligible for a return the device must be unopened and in the same condition that you received it. You can return your device at a Suddenlink store. Review the return policy for all the requirements.

Refunds on devices that were paid in full using credit and/or debit card will be issued to your credit and/or debit card. Cash purchases will be refunded in the form of a check or a pre-paid gift card. For financed devices, if at least one payment has been made on the device being financed, a refund credit will be applied to your monthly bill.
