DCX3400 Power Saving Option

The Motorola DCX3400 model DVR has an automatic shut off feature.  When enabled, the DVR will shut off automatically after 4 hours of inactivity.  This is a power saving feature.  To disable this feature, follow the steps below: 

1. Check to make sure that the power to your television and DVR are turned on
2. Press the “power” button on your Suddenlink remote control
3. As soon as your DVR turns off press the “menu” button on your remote control
4. You should see the User Setting Status menu on your screen
5. Using the directional arrows (up/down) on your remote, navigate the cursor to “Auto Power Off”
6. Using the left/right arrow, toggle to "DISABLE"
7. Press Exit
