This article provides assistance with the Sara Guide Caller ID on TV feature for Suddenlink Digital TV and Phone Subscribers.


Problems with TV Caller ID displaying on TV:

  • Make sure your TV and Digital Receiver are turned on.
  • Do a visual inspection to ensure when you press the channel up and down on your digital receiver that the channel changes, and make sure the output location on your TV is selected for the digital receiver.
  • Turn your digital receiver to channel 975 and make sure the TV CID service options have been enabled in all four locations from the Main Configuration Page.
Option 1:

  • There will be an asterisk by the setting that is in place on this screen.
  • If the asterisk is beside Caller ID OFF or Caller ID SUSPEND, use the up or down button to highlight Caller ID ON and press Select.
  • The asterisk should now be beside Caller ID is ON.

Option 2:

  • From the Main Configuration Page, Select Settings, TV Caller ID Settings, from here you will see Turn TV Caller ID Off and Set TV Caller ID Display Duration as you do in the below screen shot.
  • On this screen, if the display says to Turn TV Caller ID Off as it does in the screen shot below, TV Caller ID is already on. Press the C button to go back to the Main Configuration Page.
  • If it says to Turn TV Caller ID On, highlight it and press select. This will turn TV Caller ID on. Press the C button to go back to the Main Configuration Page.

Option 3:

  • From the Main Configuration Page, Select Settings, Select Map Services, Select Configuration per phone number, then choose the phone number.
  • You will now see Caller ID On and Caller ID Off. An asterisk will mark the setting that is currently active.
  • If the asterisk is in front of Caller ID On as it is in the screen shot below, then TV Caller ID is on. Hit the C Back button until you are back to the Main Configuration Page.
  • If the asterisk is in front of Caller ID Off, you should use the up arrow to highlight the Caller ID On and press Select. Then “C” to go back to the Main Configuration Page.

Option 4:

  • From the Main Configuration Page, Select Settings, Select Map Services, and Select Configuration for all phone numbers. You will now see Caller ID On and Caller ID Off as you do in the below screen shot.
  • It is not possible to tell if the service is already on or off so you should use the curser to highlight Caller ID On and press the Select button. This will turn the service on (or leave it on if it was already). Select C back button until you return to the Main Configuration Page.
