Suddenlink Calling Features
Caller ID
When you receive a call you must wait for one full ring, then the name and number of the person calling you is shown on your Caller ID display screen. Subscription to Caller ID requires the lease or purchase of a display telephone or an add-on display unit.
When you receive a call, wait until your telephone completes the first ringing signal. The telephone number calling you and the name associated with that number in Telephone Company records will automatically appear on your display screen.
Caller ID with Call Waiting
This feature identifies incoming calls while you are on the phone. An audible signal alerts you to a waiting call and the caller’s information displays on your Caller ID. This feature places in you control whether to answer an incoming call based upon who is calling. In order to use this feature, you must have a Caller ID–compatible telephone.
Caller ID Blocking
With Caller ID Blocking service, you can prevent the party you are calling from seeing your phone number. Instead of your name and phone number, “private” or “anonymous” will appear on the display unit or phone.
To Activate:
For each call you want to block, press *67 before you dial the number.
TV Caller ID
Subscription to Suddenlink Digital service and Suddenlink Telephone services provides you with TV Caller ID. When you receive a call, the name and number of the person calling you is shown on your TV that has a cable digital cable receiver on the TV CID display screen. When you receive a call, wait until your telephone completes the first ringing signal. The telephone number calling you and the name associated with that number in Telephone Company records will automatically appear on your display screen.

If a letter “P” or “Private”, “anonymous” or “Blocking” appears on your display after the first ring, the caller may have blocked the display of their name and number by pressing * 67 before placing the call. If “unknown name,” “unknown number,” “out of area,” or “unavailable” appears, the caller is in an area that may not support Caller ID services. |
