Suddenlink Calling Features
Call Waiting
Call Waiting is used while on your telephone without missing another call. A special tone alerts you to a waiting call; the person calling you hears normal ringing.
To Activate:
To accept your second call, press and quickly release the “switch hook” or “flash” button. While you talk with one caller, the other will automatically be placed on hold. You can always switch between calls without disconnecting either one by pressing the switch hook or flash button. Or you can hang up the phone to end the current call, and the incoming call will ring immediately.
To Deactivate:
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone, press *70, listen for the confirmation tone, and then dial the telephone number you wish to call. If someone calls while you are on the phone they will hear a busy signal. Call Waiting is reactivated automatically once your call is completed.
To Alternate Between Callers:
You can simply press and quickly release the release the “switch hook” or “flash” button. While you talk with one caller, the other will automatically be placed on hold. Each conversation remains private.
To end either call:
You can end one call by hanging up and the phone will ring. When you answer you will be connected with the remaining caller.
