Supported File Types/Scripts

 Your Suddenlink personal webspace is set up to support basic file types found commonly on the Internet today.

These commonly found file types include:

•  HTML (html, htm)
• Javascript (js)
• Style sheets (css)
• XML content (xml, xsl)
• Flash movies (swf)
• Graphics (jpg, png, gif, bmp)
• Movie files (mov, avi, mpg, wmv)
• Sound files (mid, wma, mp3, wav)

These client-side content files are viewed and handled by the Internet browsing program.

Your Suddenlink personal webspace is not set up to use server-side files. These file types include, but are not limited to:

• Active server pages (asp)
• Perl scripts (pl)
• Databases (sql, mysql, mdb)
• Other common scripting languages such as PHP

These types of files need to be handled by the web servers, not visiting computers, which take up considerable resources.  For these types of services, it is best to look into a cost effective hosting service.
