Broadcast Station Surcharge

Suddenlink customer began seeing a Broadcast Station Surcharge on their cable television bill beginning in February 2009.  This broadcast station surcharge will reflect the charges levied by the owners of broadcast TV stations.  Under "retransmission consent" the law currently allows TV broadcast networks to charge cable operators for their signal.  If Suddenlink refuses to pay, the network can force Suddenlink to drop their channel.
